Dear delegates and advisers,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the sixteenth reiteration of Yale Model United Nations Europe!

Every year, hundreds of high school students walk into their first committee session a little nervous and full of ideas, and every year I get to watch them leave with more knowledge, more confidence, and friendships they didn't have a few days earlier. That moment never gets old.

This is my third year with YMUNE. I served as Under-Secretary-General of Advanced Committees in Geneva and as Director-General of Operations in Rome, and each year has made me care about this conference more. What keeps me coming back is everything that makes YMUNE what it is: a fresh approach to diplomacy, a commitment to continuity, a drive to keep improving, and, most of all, the delegates, who we get to watch grow into future leaders.

This year's theme, "From Dialogue to Leadership in Action," reflects those values, but you are the ones who bring it to life. My hope is that it speaks to you as much as it speaks to me.

I can't wait to meet you in Prague. If you have any questions before then, please don't hesitate to reach out.
